A Saturday trip with several Senior Missionaries to the Blue Mountains. We took the cable car to the top, and then walked through a rain forest. Some of the rock formations reminded us of Zions Canyon , but not as pretty. It definitely looked like the mountains had a blue cast to them. The 3 peaks we are standing in front of is called the "Three Sisters". The scenery was beautiful and we had a good time.
After traveling for about 24 hours, I think we held up quite well for an old Senior Couple. We were met at the Australian airport by the Osborns, the couple we are replacing. They took us to our new office, located on the temple grounds, where we were given a very warm welcome. If you notice on the wall they call Australia the "Land of Oz" and "spot on" means the right place. We were then taken to our large, spacious flat. Pictures to follow.
We had a wonderful experience at the MTC. We met about 15 couples who were going to many parts of the world. We so loved the young Elders and Sisters. At a Devotional they were singing like I have never seen 19 yr. olds sing before. They sounded like angels. Hi everyone...this is Jana again! I guess Mom and Dad have been pretty busy with getting settled and they are having internet issues at their flat, so Mom has been having a difficult time logging in here to blog. In the meanwhile, here are some photos taken of them the day they left. They look so official! It almost makes me feel like I'm posting pictures of my kids leaving for their first day of school. :)
